PRIVACY NOTICE · PILOT
Your work stays private.
How The Creator Market handles your information during the Bristol pilot. Pending qualified legal review.
Who we are
The Creator Market is a Bristol marketplace connecting independent businesses with local content creators. For any privacy question or request, use the contact form; we reply within one working day.
What we keep and why
Account details, business and creator profiles, briefs, proposals, accepted agreements, order messages, videos, feedback, payment references and contact-form enquiries. We use them to run the service, match briefs, deliver files, resolve problems and reply to you. Stripe handles card and bank details; we never see or store card numbers.
Who can see it
The business and creator on an order can access that order. Authorised operators can see what they need for matching, fulfilment, support and disputes, and file access is audited. Approved creator profiles are shown to visitors and members. Job videos are private and are never added to a portfolio without the opt-in recorded in the agreement.
Service providers and locations
Supabase (account, database and private file storage, London region), Vercel (website hosting, London region) and Stripe (payments; creators hold their own Stripe accounts, and Stripe is an independent controller for the details it collects during onboarding). Processor terms and any international transfers are covered by those providers’ agreements, pending our legal review.
Analytics and cookies
We count page views ourselves: the page path and the referring website only, with no cookies, IP addresses or user identifiers stored. The only cookies are the essential sign-in cookies. No advertising trackers are used.
Retention and your rights
Unsubmitted uploads expire after 24 hours. Order videos are scheduled for removal 90 days after completion or cancellation; disputed files are kept until resolved. Licence and transaction records are kept for up to six years, subject to legal review. You can ask to access, correct or delete your information through the contact form; we assess any legal duty to keep records first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
